City Framing and Abel Framing are both owned and operated by the Henke family. Abel Framing has been proudly owned & operated since 1987. City Framing, being the new baby of the family since 1998, has proved to be an exciting extension of the original studio in Bowen Hills.

City framing is managed by mother and daughter team, Julie and Kate.  Julie and Kate have had extensive experience in both design and colour through tertiary studies.

John heads the team at the Abel Framing studio workshop.  With some of Brisbane’s most respected art galleries just meters away, Brookes Street, Bowen Hills, provides a very exciting location for the framing studio and workshop.  The manufacturing for both Abel Framing and City Framing is carried out with great care and attention to at this location. John has had long standing experience and is well known and respected in the industry. He and the team at Abel Framing produce framing of exceptional quality which we are very proud to provide to you.  Come and take advantage of our experience, refined skills and friendly service.
